Spending quality time and communicating with one of significance calls for a meeting, a date, or appointment. Through time you will have established a bond of understanding and knowing each other.

Now consider your relationship with the Father. In order to make this relationship grow, you must first vow not to neglect it. Recognize that this is a discipline and life-long committment. Of course it would be if your hope is to inherit eternal life with the Father.

God is always here for us, and we should always be here for Him. Be available to Him. Make your appointment each day, and testify of His goodness in the growth of your new found relationship, which models as the framework for all of our relationships. Even the relationship you have with yourself.

"Where there is no vision, the people perish..." Proverbs 29:18 KJV

The Appointment is based on the belief that in order for a relationship to work you must have consistent communication. To have a relationship is simply spending and dedicating time to get to know each other in which a bond can be developed. In other words, intimacy. And that relationship must first start with God, our Heavenly Father through Christ our Savior before anyone else. 1 Peter 4:17-19
