Help Me To Stay In Character

Posted on August 1, 2015 at 8:40 PM

Oftentimes, it seems close to impossible for me to remain in the character of Christ; especially when I am being challegened by the enemy. The Spirit of the Lord continues to remind me that I am to die to self and put on Christ daily. Sometimes my anger wants to reap vengeance on those who have wronged and mistreated me, but I know that God is always present and desires to bless my efforts when I stand firm and trust Him at all times. I notice that whenever I keep my peace, and hold on to God's unchanging hand, the storm passes smoothly. In turn, I am not only blessed for staying in character, but those who witnessed my challenges are blessed because they saw the humble and loving example of Christ regardless of my storms, and most importantly, God Almighty is blessed because I trusted Him to get me through it. Amen:)!!

Basically this is saying Lord help me to hold out. Not in words but relationship building with you. I picture building blocks and every time we seek his face he puts the enemy under our feet we slip when the seal or whole armoire not on. You know you are planted when you state the trial in the face and can shout.
Being rooted and grounded is the structure I believe will keep me Shan

The Lord wants a sincere relationship because those will outlast the test of time. Chapter 5 deals with saying that you must spend intimate time with the Lord. For we do not want to the Lord to say that he does not know us or never knew us like the parables in Matthew with the church goers and the 10 virgins. You want your relationship, which is the most important one in the world, to be grounded and rooted. It must be built on rock or will be swept in the sand. Moses knew the Lord and not just of him. Religions and customs build only surface level understandings of God and cannot change a life rather than anothers. Now is the time for we don't know the day or the hour.
